Maui Weekly Lane Closures Through Oct. 22
The state Department of Transportation is working on several road projects that will result in lane closures through Oct. 22, 2021.
Below is a list of road closures slated for this week:
— Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) —
Wailuku to Waikapū: Shoulder closure and lane shift on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) in the southbound direction between mile markers 0.5 and 2, Keanu Street and Pilikana Street, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.
Māʻalaea: Single lane closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) possible in either direction between mile markers 4.8 and 6.9, Kūihelani Highway and Māʻalaea Boat Harbor Road, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for rumble strip installation and pavement striping work.
Māʻalaea to Olowalu: Shoulder closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) possible in either direction between mile markers 5 and 15, Kūihelani Highway and Olowalu Village Road, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for shoulder work.
Lahaina: Single lane closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) possible in either direction between mile markers 15 and 18, Olowalu Village Road and Kai Hele Kū Street, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., for guardrail repair work.
Lahaina: Left lane closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) possible in either direction between mile markers 19.8 and 21, Aholo Road and Lahainaluna Road, on Tuesday, Oct. 19 through Thursday, Oct. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.
Lahaina: Single lane closure on Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) possible in either direction between mile markers 22.7 and 28.6, Leialiʻi Parkway and Polohina Lane, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for pavement marking work.
— South High Street (Route 30) —
Wailuku: Right lane closure on South High Street (Route 30) in the northbound direction between mile markers 0.0 and 0.6, Main Street and Keanu Street, on Monday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for tree trimming work.
— Kaʻahumanu Avenue (Route 32)—
Wailuku: Left lane closure on Kaʻahumanu Avenue (Route 32) in the eastbound direction between mile markers 0.7 and 2.6, Lunalilo Street and Ala Luina Street, on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for landscaping work.
— Hāna Highway (Routes 36/360)—
Kahului (night work): Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 36) in the northbound direction near mile marker 0.2, E Kamehameha Avenue, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 9 p.m. to 3 p.m., for utility work. Turn lanes to Kamehameha Road from Hāna Highway will be closed.
Pāʻia (night work): Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 36) possible in either direction between mile markers 6.5 and 7, Lower Pāʻia Park and Holo Place, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 6 p.m. to 12 p.m., for guardrail maintenance.
Haʻikū: Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 36) possible in either direction between mile markers 13 and 16.2, Valley Isle Memorial Park and Kaupakalua Road, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail maintenance.
Haʻikū to Hāna: Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) possible in either direction between mile markers 0.0 and 34.9, Kaupakalua Road and Hāna Beach Park, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail maintenance.
Haʻikū (24-hour weekly work): Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) in the westbound direction between mile markers 2.1 and 3.2, Lupi Road and E Waipiʻo Road, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, 24-hours a day, for emergency drainage improvements.
Keʻanae (24-hour work): Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) in the eastbound direction between mile markers 11.9 and 13, near Kaumahina State Wayside Park and Honomanū Stream, 24-hours a day, until further notice, for rockfall mitigation work.
Keʻanae: Single lane closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) possible in either direction between mile markers 16.5 and 18, Keʻanae Road and Wailua Road, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for guardrail repair work.
Wailua: Shoulder closure on Hāna Highway (Route 360) in the westbound direction between mile markers 18 and 18.3, near Waiokamilo Stream and Wailua Road, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for irrigation system improvements.
— Haleakalā/Kula Highway (Route 37) —
Puʻunēnē: Single lane closure on Kula Highway (Route 37) in the northbound direction between mile markers 0.8 and 7.8, N Firebreak Road and Haleakalā Highway (Rte 377), on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for rumble strip installation and pavement striping work.
— Kahekili Highway (Route 340) —
Waiheʻe: Single lane closure on Kahekili Highway (Route 340) possible in either direction near mile marker 2.4, vicinity of River Road, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for water line installation.
Kahakuloa: Single lane closure on Kahekili Highway (Route 340) possible in either direction near mile markers 12 and 13.9, Kahekili Highway and Kahakuloa Bay, on Monday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. for power pole replacement.
— Haleakalā Crater Road (Route 378) —
Kula: Right lane closure on Haleakalā Crater Road (Route 378) in the southbound direction near mile marker and 0.0, Palena Place, on Wednesday, Oct. 20 through Thursday, Oct. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.
