Police Investigate Burglary at Eddie Tam Complex Parks Division Facility in Makawao

The Maui Police Department is requesting assistance from the public regarding an ongoing burglary investigation. Between Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at around 9 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at 6 a.m., an unknown person(s) broke into the secured area of the County of Maui Parks Division at the Eddie Tam Complex in Makawao and stole multiple items from within.

Among the items stolen were:

  • 13 Stihl trimmers (weed wacker)
  • Stihl backpack leaf blower
  • Dewalt generator
  • Dewalt drills, impact driver, Sawzall, angle grinder, hammer drill, skill saw, finishing nail gun, stereo.
  • 2019 White Ford F150 with the license plate # CM 2743

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Maui Police Department at 808-244-6400 and refer to MPD report #21-036403.

The case is currently classified as a first degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, and a second degree burglary.
