Ebb & Flow  Ensemble Performs Two Free Concerts, November 17

Ebb & Flow Ensemble is performing two free concerts at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Pro Arts Playhouse in Kīhei. Admission to the concert is free.

Featured performers are Ignace Jang, violin, Sung Chan Chang, ‘cello, and Robert Pollock, piano.

Featured composers include Isang Yun, Shinhee Park, Sin Young Park (Korea), Thomas Osborne, Robert Pollock, (Hawai’i) Elliott Carter (NYC) and Darius Milhaud (France).

Works to be performed are Isang Yun’s “Glissées” for ‘cello, Shinhee Park’s “Polyphonic Songs” for violin (commissioned by Ebb & Flow Arts), Sin Young Park’s “Mirror Lake” for violin and ‘cello, Thomas Osborne’s “The Swaying, Waking Song of the Water” (commissioned by Ebb & Flow Arts) for violin and piano, Robert Pollock’s “The Egrets” for piano (first performance), Darius Milhaud’s “Sonatine” for violin and ‘cello, and Elliott Carter’s “Epigrams” for violin, ‘cello, and piano (his last work).
