Pavement reconstruction will result in the closure of portions of the Piʻilani Highway in East Maui on the next two Saturdays.

In coordination with the County of Maui, Maui Paving, LLC will be performing pavement reconstruction work in the East Maui District that will require a full road closure. A portion of Piʻilani Highway from Mile Marker Post 32 to 32.75 will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Nov. 6. from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and follow all traffic control signs. Visitors to Hāna and Kīpahulu should return to Central Maui by way of Hāna Highway, not Piʻilani Highway, to avoid the area.
