The Bissen Movement announced the Maui Chamber of Commerce (COMPAC) has endorsed Richard Bissen for Maui County mayor.

Based on his answers on the COMPAC questionnaire, as well as an interview, Bissen “received the highest score in his race.” Bissen was informed of the endorsement via a phone call from the Chamber’s president and by personal letter.

In the letter, the Chamber stated “…the candidates with the highest score who are deemed business-friendly and whose responses were most congruent with the Chamber’s values and positions became the candidate the Chamber is endorsing.”
