Guy Fieri’s Chefs for Maui fundraiser collects $1.5M for Maui wildfire recovery and relief

Thirty-eight award-winning chefs, participated in The Guy Fieri Foundation’s Chefs for Maui Fundraiser in Northern California Wine Country on Oct. 21, to support disaster operations and raise money for relief supplies for Maui following the August wildfires.

The event reportedly raised more than $1.5 million for Maui wildfire recovery and relief efforts.

The fundraising event featured a 15-course dining experience, a chef meet-and-greet, live music and auctions.

“The fires in August devastated the island and the communities in it. Maui is still recovering and will be for a while,” said William Becker, Graton Resort & Casino’s VP of Food & Beverage. “The entire Graton Resort & Casino food and beverage team is honored to participate in the Guy Fieri Foundation’s Chefs for Maui event and support relief efforts.” 

In addition to Becker, participating chefs included Michael Mina, Hunter Fieri, Jonathon Sawyer, Ming Tsai, Tiffani Faison, Amanda Freitag, Britt Rescigno, Brooke Williamson and more. 

All net proceeds from the event support the Foodservice Workers of Maui and The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division. For those who could not attend the event but still wish to contribute to the cause, The Guy Fieri Foundation is accepting donations here
