MAGIC! and Cherreh Strawberry jam live at da Playground, Aug. 10

The musicians behind the hit-single, “Rude,” are coming to da Playground in Māʻalaea. MAGIC! is set to take the stage with opener Cherreh Strawberry at 8 p.m. Aug. 10.

Canadian reggae fusion sensation, MAGIC!, is led by the dynamic duo of Nasri Atweh and Mark Pellizzer, alongside rhythmic talents Alex Tanas and Ben Spivak. In 2013, they stormed the charts with their debut single, “Rude,” which soared to the top spot in the US. The band has also collaborated on Shakira’s self-titled album with the track, “Cut Me Deep.” Now, they’re gearing up to release their upcoming debut album blending reggae vibes and pop.

Cherreh Strawberry is a reggae jam band from Maui. Their recent single, “Waves of Resistance,” released this year. The single went viral in an Instagram Reel, garnering over 4.4 million views and a new bubbling fanbase.
