The Teran James Young Foundation is seeking nominations for its first annual Peace Award Program, dedicated to honoring those who make a difference in the community. The deadline for nominations is Sept. 10.

As part of the annual Rally Around Peace event, the award program recognizes individuals who exemplify peace and demonstrate outstanding service and commitment to the community. Every nominee will receive a special certificate of appreciation.

Nominees need to be Maui residents of any age who exemplify peace and take action for peace in the community. Applications need the nominee’s first and last name, a photo and a short description of what he or she has done to exemplify peace.
