The Central East Maui All-Stars won their opening round game in the Little League World Series on Wednesday with a 3-1 victory against Salem, NH, the New England regional team.
The Maui 12U boys advance to Game 10 at 9 a.m. HST (3 p.m. ET) on Friday, Aug. 16 against Great Lakes (Hinsdale Little League of Illinois).

The Maui 12U boys secured their spot in the Little League World Series after winning the West Region title last week. The 2024 Little League World Series, presented by T-Mobile, runs from Aug. 14 to 25 at Lamande Stadium in Williamsport, Pa. Itʻs only the second time that a Maui team in the majors division has made it this far. The last time was in 2019.
