Seafood City to open full-service Filipino Supermarket at Maui Marketplace in Kahului

Seafood City Supermarket is scheduled to open at the Maui Marketplace on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024 at 9 a.m.  This popular Filipino supermarket chain is making its grand debut with a full service 37,000-square-foot market complete with an authentic Filipino specialty bakery and a Filipino Grill/Restaurant.  An in-store blessing was held on Tuesday.

Seafood City Supermarket is known for delivering authentic Filipino specialties at affordable prices. Since opening its first store in National City, California in 1989, the chain has expanded its footprint to Hawaiʻi, Illinois, Nevada, Washington State and Texas, capturing a dedicated following.

Customers will find an extensive selection of fresh fish and seafood, as well as hard-to-find fruits and vegetables, premium meat products, bakery items, and an array of home and kitchen goods. The store also features a dedicated health and beauty section and a large patio for celebrations, birthdays and events.

Seafood City is open Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information visit seafoodcity.com.  

On the Grand Opening Day, Seafood City is offering the first 100 customers a 15 pound bag of Calrose rice for $1 and the next 100 customers get one free BBQ pork or chicken from Grill City, according to an announcement.
