John Cruz to perform at Maui Arts and Cultural Center June 13 with special guests

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center will welcome acclaimed singer-songwriter John Cruz for a trio concert on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in the McCoy Studio Theater. The “Songs and Stories Tour” will feature Cruz alongside fellow musicians Blayne Asing and Steve Sargenti.

Cruz, a multi-Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner and Grammy honoree, is known for his soulful vocals and genre-spanning music rooted in Hawaiian traditions with influences from blues, folk, Americana and country. His breakthrough album “Acoustic Soul” produced local classics such as “Island Style,” “Shine On” and “Sitting in Limbo.” Cruz’s collaborative resume includes work with Jack Johnson, Jackson Browne and Eddie Vedder, among others.

Opening the concert is Asing, a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Most Promising Artist awardee known for his folk-inspired songwriting and recent collaborations with Hawaiʻi music legends.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Maui Food Bank in support of wildfire recovery efforts. Donors will be entered into a drawing for a signed poster and a private meet-and-greet with Cruz.

Ticket prices are $45, $55 and a limited number at $75, plus fees. MACC members receive a 10% discount. The MACC Box Office is currently handling inquiries by email only at boxoffice@mauiarts.org, Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
