Law Week, celebrated annually nationwide, runs through Saturday, May 10, 2025. The event aims to raise awareness and provide access to legal information for those who may not have other opportunities to consult with an attorney.

As part of the week’s offerings, the Legal Line Hotline will be available statewide through Friday, May 9, between 6 and 7 p.m. Residents can call 808-537-1868 to speak with a volunteer attorney.

Over the weekend, volunteer attorneys offered free, in-person legal advice at an Ask-a-Lawyer booth sponsored by the Hawaiʻi State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division during the Maui Sunday Market in Kahului. Legal advice was offered on topics such as landlord/tenant disputes, family law (divorce/child custody), small business issues and estate planning.
