Four Seasons Resort Maui champions the environment through Bee Wonders Tour
As global awareness grows around the critical role pollinators play in sustaining ecosystems and food supplies, World Bee Day on May 20 serves as a timely reminder of nature’s smallest yet mightiest heroes.
In celebration, Hawaiʻi’s Four Seasons Resort Maui—a recipient of the 2024 Green Business Award—is doing its part to champion the environment through its new Bee Wonders Tour.
Offering an immersive experience that brings guests face-to-face with the fascinating world of bees while underscoring the Resort’s commitment to sustainability and the preservation of Maui’s natural beauty, Sustainability Manager Taylor Fujimoto guides guests through a day of exploration of the Resort’s beehives, where they will learn about pollinators, and taste fresh honey.
Offered Wednesdays from 9-10:30 a.m., the experience includes a hive inspection, hands-on activities, and a honey and pastry tasting in the Chef’s Garden. “This immersive experience underscores the Resort’s commitment to regenerative tourism and the vital role of pollinators in maintaining healthy ecosystems,” according to an announcement.

“Our sustainability initiatives at Four Seasons Resort Maui reflect our deep commitment to coexisting harmoniously with Maui’s natural environment,” said Fujimoto. “From our behind-the-scenes composting program to our Keālia Pond restoration work, we’re focused on minimizing our environmental footprint while continuing to deliver a luxury experience. And through offerings like our complimentary Bee Wonders Tour, guests can connect directly with our delicate ecosystem. We believe sustainable tourism not only protects the island but enhances the authenticity of each guest’s experience.”
