Hawaiʻi launches myHawaii platform to streamline access to online government services

Hawaiʻi residents can now use a single login to access dozens of state and county services through a new digital platform called myHawaii, which officials say will make government more accessible, secure and efficient.
Launched this week, myHawaii provides a unified sign-on experience for 96 online services across multiple agencies, with more expected to be added. The system replaces the need for separate logins with one secure account backed by multifactor authentication, fraud detection and industry-standard encryption.
“The state has many beneficial programs and applications available for our residents,” said Gov. Josh Green, M.D. “Making it easier for people to login and use our services is a great way to increase accessibility and citizen participation.”
Developed under the Office of Enterprise Technology Services, a division of the Department of Accounting and General Services, in collaboration with internet portal provider Tyler Hawaii, the platform is designed to improve both user experience and back-end efficiency by centralizing identity management. Officials say the shared service model reduces duplication and streamlines support across state and county agencies.
Future updates will include identity verification for services requiring higher levels of security, according to the state.
“More and more often residents are connecting to state government departments using their home computers to access services,” said state Comptroller Keith Regan. “We want to make that easy to do, but we must also make it secure; myHawaii does both.”
The state says phone, chat and email support will be available to help users set up and manage their accounts.
“MyHawaii represents our commitment to building a citizen-first digital experience,” said state Chief Information Officer Christine Sakuda. “It’s more than a login—it’s the first step toward a personalized and secure government experience for every Hawaiʻi resident.”
