Her Hawaiʻi journalism career also includes 15 years as an anchor and reporter at KHON2 News, covering major weather events, Kīlauea eruptions, high-profile crime cases, presidential visits and elections.
In addition to her journalism career, Yamane served as director of communications for the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority, where she managed media relations, crisis communication and public affairs. Her work also included drafting legislative testimony, supporting community-based nonprofit programs and growing HTA’s social media presence.
“Marisa will bring thoughtful insights and creative talents to serve our clients,” said Ron Dotzauer, founder and CEO of Strategies 360.
Yamane said she looks forward to expanding the firm’s communications offerings in Hawaiʻi.
“It is an honor to continue to serve Hawaiʻi in this new role,” she said.
A graduate of ʻIolani School, Yamane earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from UCLA.
