10 students awarded 2025 Bayer Hawaii Life Sciences Scholarships
A total of 10 graduating seniors from across Hawaiʻi have been awarded the 2025 Bayer Hawaiʻi Life Sciences Scholarship, including five recipients from Maui and Molokaʻi.
This year’s scholarship recipients are:
- Maui County: Ciana Cooper (Maui High School), Sophia Kato (Maui High School), Rylee Stout (Seabury Hall), Chloe Tancayo (Molokaʻi High School) and Halena Peterson (Molokaʻi High School)
- Other islands: Leah Bautista and Keira Brown (Leilehua High School), Faith Shimabukuro (Mililani High School), Jyliann Teocson (Waipahu High School) and Joshua Yasuda (Mid-Pacific Institute)
The scholarship is open to graduating seniors from all Hawaiʻi high schools who plan to pursue a degree in life sciences at an accredited college or university. Since its inception, the program has awarded more than $185,000 to support local students.
