Hawaiʻi State Federal Credit Union has awarded a combined $37,500 to two Hawaiʻi nonprofits working to support affordable housing and assist families experiencing homelessness.

Family Promise of Hawaiʻi received $25,000 and Hawaiʻi HomeOwnership Center was awarded $12,500 through contributions from Hawaii State FCU and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines) Member Impact Fund, which matches donations from financial institutions in an effort to strengthen their communities.

“Stable housing creates the foundation for lasting financial wellness and opportunity,” said Hawaiʻi State FCU President and CEO Andrew Rosen. “We’re honored to support the vital work of Family Promise of Hawaiʻi and Hawaiʻi HomeOwnership Center, and immensely grateful for the generous matching grant from FHLB Des Moines. Their partnership allows us to extend our reach and deepen our impact in the communities we serve.”
