Island Essence marks 35 years on Maui with sitewide special sale

Island Essence, a women-led Maui-based manufacturer of spa, bath and body products, is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a sitewide sale. From June 6 to June 11, customers will receive 30% off all products and a free gift with every order, shipped directly from the company’s Kahului workshop.

Founded in 1990 as a family dream, Island Essence has grown into a beloved local brand known for infusing every product with the “magic of the islands, and a generous helping of aloha.” Despite challenges over the decades—including economic shifts, natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic—the company has remained a consistent presence in the local community.

Island Essence products are made on Maui, including lotions, oils, soaps and spa collections infused with Hawaiian ingredients such as noni, kukui, coconut and island florals. The company sources local ingredients, whenever possible.

The anniversary celebration is the locally-owned company’s way of expressing thanks to the community that carried them and to welcome new friends into the Island Essence ʻohana.

Their sale coincides with King Kamehameha Day, a statewide holiday that honors Hawaiʻi’s royal legacy and cultural roots.
