Maui County Veterans Council announces rescheduled Veterans Recognition Luncheon, Aug. 29
The Veterans Recognition Luncheon has been rescheduled to Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maui Beach Hotel Rainbow Ballroom, 170 W. Kaʻahumanu Avenue in Kahului.
The luncheon, themed “Bring on the ’90s,” will honor and celebrate Maui’s veterans and military community with an afternoon of recognition, fellowship, patriotic entertainment, lunch, a silent auction, and ’90s fun.
More than a throwback theme, “Bring on the ’90s” is meant to bring together veterans across generations—from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam to the Gulf War era, Iraq, Afghanistan and today’s service members. It is an opportunity for Maui’s veterans to reconnect with old friends, meet fellow veterans from different eras of service, share stories, and enjoy an afternoon centered around the camaraderie that connects those who have worn the uniform.
All tickets purchased for the original luncheon date will be honored on Aug. 29, and no action is required by current ticket holders. Tickets remain available for veterans, active-duty military and their spouses, and community supporters who would still like to attend.
The event is open to the entire community. MCVC encourages Maui residents, businesses, families and friends to come out, enjoy the afternoon and spend time with the veterans who have served our nation. Guests are also encouraged to embrace the “Bring on the ’90s” theme and come dressed in their favorite ’90s attire.
Proceeds from the luncheon will support Maui County Veterans Council programs and activities serving veterans and their families throughout the year. Those unable to attend can still support the Council through a donation.
