Temporary road closure on Ulua Beach Road for modifications to Kīhei Wastewater Pump Station No. 9

West Maui Construction Inc. is performing modifications to the Kīhei Wastewater Pump Station No. 9, which will result in a temporary closure of the roundabout on Ulua Beach Road, along with a section of parking to be unavailable. Beach access will still be available to the public by way of the existing beach access pathway.

The project started on Aug. 3, and will continue through Oct. 26, 2026.

Motorists can expect work to occur from the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. during weekdays. The public should be prepared for night work during the week of Sept. 21.

Public beach access will remain available throughout the duration of this project. Parking will remain first come, first serve at the top section of Ulua Beach road.
