Reminder – Pāʻia-Haʻikū community budget meeting scheduled next week
A community budget meeting is scheduled next week in Pāʻia-Haʻikū for residents to share their priorities and provide input on the County budget for Fiscal Year 2028, which begins July 1, 2027.
The meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pāʻia Community Center.
The meeting is among eight community budget meetings hosted by Mayor Richard Bissen and his administration throughout Maui County.
Upcoming community budget meetings are scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. as follows:
- Central Maui – Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at J. Walter Cameron Center auditorium in Wailuku
- South Maui – Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, at Kīhei Community Center
- West Maui – Friday, Oct. 16, 2026, at Lahaina Civic Center Social Hall
- Molokaʻi – Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, at Mitchell Pauʻole Community Center in Kaunakakai
- Lānaʻi (in conjunction with Holomua Kākou) – Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, at ILWU Union Hall
- East Maui – Hāna (in conjunction with Holomua Kākou) – Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026, at Helene Hall
Written and verbal comments will be accepted at the meetings. Budget requests also may be submitted by using a Budget Request Form, which is available on the County of Maui website at https://www.mauicounty.gov/
Residents unable to attend the meetings in person can view the meetings on the County of Maui Facebook page. No account is required.
