4th Semi-Annual West Maui Rec Expo Returns to Kapalua Sept 26th, 2026

Mana Mentors, together with the West Maui Recreational Committee, will host the 4th West Maui Rec Expo on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at The Barn at Kapalua (1000 Kapalua Drive), bringing a free afternoon of live entertainment, food (while supplies last), hands-on activities and community resources to keiki and families across West Maui. Held twice a year, the Rec Expo connects West Maui youth with recreational programs and opportunities across the community.

Entertainment Line-up

Now in its fourth installment, the Rec Expo has grown into one of West Maui’s favorite grassroots gatherings, giving local families a chance to connect with mentors, community organizations and each other. This year’s entertainment lineup showcases West Maui’s own creative and cultural talent, with performances from Maui Music Mission, West Maui Dance, Prime Dance and Na Kamaliʻi / Wahine Nani o Lahaina — four local keiki groups whose music, dance and hula reflect the heart of the Lahaina community.

Adding a dose of wonder to the day, magician Brenton Keith returns with his popular Bag O’ Tricks show, delighting keiki and kupuna alike with sleight of hand and audience-pulled illusions. Rounding out the fun, Cirque Jolie will be on hand for balloon twisting, turning simple balloons into hats, animals and characters for keiki to take home.

Participating Youth Organizations

Alongside the expo’s featured performers, a big thank you goes to the West Maui youth organizations who will be on hand to share their programs with attendees. They include Prime Dance, Theatre Theatre Maui, K&C Cheer and Dance Academy, Mana Mentors, West Maui Dance, Mountain Bike Association, Jr Sailing, Maui Music Mission, Maui Prep, Lahaina Impact Volleyball, Got’m Surf, Aloha Roll, and Hawaii Youth Rugby and more.

The 4th West Maui Rec Expo is made possible through the generosity of local sponsors who continue to invest in West Maui’s youth. This year’s sponsors include Imua Maui Community Healing Initiative, Maui Pono Foundation, Duke’s Maui and Cool Cats.

The West Maui Recreational Committee’s mission with the Expo’s is to showcase recreational offerings for West Maui’s keiki and families. — and this year’s youth organizations and sponsors are helping carry that mission forward.
