United States Attorney Ken Sorenson announced that Douglas Taylor, aka “Dougiie 2 Fresh,” 37, of Maui, pleaded guilty on Oct. 2, 2026 to two counts of distributing more than fifty grams of methamphetamine.

Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 19, 2027 before United States District Judge Jill A. Otake.

According to court records, Taylor agreed to sell a confidential source methamphetamine and cocaine over the course of 10 controlled buys. As part of his plea agreement, Taylor admitted to selling 398.46 grams of methamphetamine, as well as 33.916 grams of cocaine, between October 2024 and August 2025.

Taylor faces at least 10 years and up to life in prison, a fine of up to $10,000,000, plus a term of supervised release.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maui Police Department investigated the case. Assistant US Attorney Jeannette Graviss is prosecuting the case.

Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) is the Department of Justice’s nationwide initiative that brings federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement, prosecutors, and other public safety partners together to coordinate efforts to combat violent crime and make communities safe.

Coordinated by US Attorneys’ offices in each of the 94 federal districts, PSN is tailored to particular communities to strategically address specific violent crime and public safety challenges. As a key component of Operation Take Back America, PSN serves a central role in the Department’s commitment to make our country safe.

PSN emphasizes three core principles: rapid federal response to violent crime and criminal offenders; strong, strategic partnerships among law enforcement at all levels; and accountability and deterrence through the prosecution of the most serious, readily provable offenses and other strategies. These efforts complement and strengthen President Trump’s Homeland Security Task Forces, ensuring a comprehensive federal response to the most pressing public safety issues facing communities.
