Isaiah Okudara, 39, of Maui, pleaded guilty on Oct. 2, 2026 to one count of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine, according to an announcement from United States Attorney Ken Sorenson. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 10, 2027 before United States District Judge Shanlyn A.S. Park.

According to court records, Okudara admitted to mailing three parcels collectively containing 8.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and 6 kilograms of cocaine from San Diego, California to Kahului, Hawaii, on Feb. 12, 2025.

Okudara also admitted he intended to distribute the drugs to others. Okudara faces at least 10 years and up to life in prison, a fine of up to $10,000,000, plus a term of supervised release.

The FBI and the Maui Police Department investigated the case. Assistant US Attorney Jeannette Graviss is prosecuting the case. This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, the Department of Justice’s nationwide initiative that brings federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement, prosecutors, and other public safety partners together to coordinate efforts to combat violent crime and make communities safe.

Coordinated by US Attorneys’ offices in each of the 94 federal districts, PSN is tailored to particular communities to strategically address specific violent crime and public safety challenges. As a key component of Operation Take Back America, PSN serves a central role in the Department’s commitment to make our country safe. PSN emphasizes three core principles: rapid federal response to violent crime and criminal offenders; strong, strategic partnerships among law enforcement at all levels; and accountability and deterrence through the prosecution of the most serious, readily provable offenses and other strategies.

“These efforts complement and strengthen President Trump’s Homeland Security Task Forces, ensuring a comprehensive federal response to the most pressing public safety issues facing communities,” according to a department announcement.
