Almost 150 volunteers help with Lahaina cleanup

Nearly 150 volunteers turned out to help spruce up Lahaina, removing approximately one ton of rubbish, scrap metal and appliances, along with 10 tires, from West Maui areas.

“We are so grateful to everyone who gave their time, brought their families and friends, and helped make a meaningful difference,” event organizers said. “Their support helps us bring volunteers together, provide the resources needed for the cleanup, and continue this annual tradition.”

Event supporters included Mālama Maui Nui, Maui Building Source, Surfrider Maui, Pizza Paradiso, Māla Ocean Tavern, Maui Resort Rentals, Maui Hub, DJ Ron, Tropic Water and Maui Disposal.

For more than 20 years, the Lahaina Town Cleanup has brought our community together to care for their beloved community.

The next event, the 23rd Annual Lahaina Town Cleanup, is scheduled for Sept. 25, 2027.
