Emergency repairs to the waterline at the Lahaina Aquatics Center will result in a water outage at the facility on Tuesday, July 16, until noon, county officials announced.

“Due to emergency repairs to the hot water line at the Lahaina Aquatics Center, the water is expected to be shut off at the facility until noon,” said Maui County Communications Specialist Lois Whitney, with the Mayor’s Office.

“The repairs will address a suspected leak in the hot water line that feeds the facility’s showers,” said Whitney.

The water shutdown is expected to conclude at noon, with the keiki pool to remain closed until repairs are complete for safety reasons due to the close proximity of construction to the pool, officials said.

The facility’s 50-meter pool is expected to reopen at noon on Tuesday, the announcement said.
