Drivers traveling from between Hāna and Kīpahulu on Highways 360 and 31 in East Maui may experience brief delays today and tomorrow due to pedestrian safety improvements.

Officials from Haleakalā National Park say the traffic is being restricted to a single lane in the Kīpahulu section of the park while crews paint pedestrian crosswalks that lead to and from parking lot areas and trails.
