About 20 minutes later, police say the same man returned to the Old Lahaina Center branch, walked up to the teller, and placed a note on the counter.

Maui Police Lieutenant William Juan said the bank teller opened a drawer, took out an undisclosed amount of cash and placed it on the counter.  According to Lt. Juan, the suspect grabbed the money, along with the note, and walked out of the bank headed north toward Pāpalaua Street.
