2.4 Earthquake Near Hilo, No Tsunami Expected

There is no tsunami expected following a 2.4 preliminary magnitude earthquake reported at 7:36 a.m. HST on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, 40 miles SW of Hilo, Hawaiʻi, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

The quake reportedly occurred at a depth of 5 miles, with exact coordinates of: 19.3 North, and 155.5 West, the PTWC reports.
