Help Sought in Locating Missing Maui Man

UPDATE: Mahalo to the public for your assistance in locating Brandon GAMIT. He was located and is at home, according to an announcement today from Maui Police.
The Maui Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Maui man, who family members say suffers from mental illness.
According to police reports, 30-year-0ld Brandon Gamit was last seen in the early morning hours on Thursday, Dec. 26.
He reportedly called his father today and said he was on Oʻahu.
Family members say Gamit is required to be on medication, which he left behind.
Police say checks of the Kahului Airport revealed that the man’s vehicle was in the parking lot, and authorities confirmed that he did purchase a one-way ticket to Oʻahu on GO Airlines.
According to police information, Gamit is described as 5-feet 7-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and tattoos on his right arm.
Honolulu Police Detective R. Tagomori is reportedly assisting family members with the search on Oʻahu.
