Hard Naks High Performance Speed Camps returns to the Maui Tropical Plantation on Sunday, March 9, after getting rained out last week.

Boys and girls of all ages are invited to train in speed, agility, balance and core. The 90-minute workouts are specifically designed around the different age groups.

The cost is $10 per athlete.

Sunday camps are the first and third Sunday of each month, from 11 to 12:30 p.m.

Saturday camp times are youth to 7th grade from 8 to 9:30 a.m., and 8th grade and up from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday camps will be running every first and third Sunday of each month. Sunday camps will be from 11 a.m to 12:30 p.m.

Hard Naks plans to re-schedule its second anniversary bonus camp as soon as it can secure Baldwin’s gym. The free event will be from 11 to 12:30 p.m. with multiple giveaways from sponsors like Maui Thing Clothing, Uptown Chevron, HIC Maui, GNC, Sam Sato’s Restaurant, Yogurtland, Pacific Media Group, Maui Soda and Ice Works, Old Wailea Blue Golf Course, Hi-Tech Surf and Sports, and Marmac Ace Hardware.

Hard Naks was started by Cody Nakamura of Wailuku. Nakamura, a high school and collegiate athlete, instructs the camps. He started Hard Naks in February of 2012, as part of his mission is to assist Maui’s youth in their athletic endeavors.
