[flashvideo file=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t94E9tqW0mc /] The fourth segment of Na Kamehameha Commemorative Pa’u Parade & Ho’olaule’a featured pa’u units from the islands of Moloka’i and Hawai’i. Representing Moloka’i was Pa’u Princess Tiara Dudoit; and for the island of Hawai’i, the Pa’u Princess was Hawealani Ka’ahanui Kahahane.
A fitting addition to the parade was the court from the 2010 55th Annual Makawao Rodeo Court featuring this year’s Queen, Johnee Lynn Prito; princesses, Gabrielle Celestine Kiyome Berce and Amanda Jenna Roberts; Jr. Prince Kalae Masada, and Jr. Princess Lehiwa Apo.
Also making their way down Front Street were members of Maui Extreme Cheer. The organization, founded in 2009 in Wailuku, Maui, celebrated its first year recently. The competitive cheer teams placed 2nd in their very first competition, the 2009 Aloha Championships on Oahu.
And, where are you, Ulalena rain? Members of the theatrical Ulalena production performed this memorable mele while walking through Lahaina town. The Ulalena cast has called Lahiana home since 1998, celebrating the history, culture, legends and myth of Hawai’i nei.
