Maui Road Repairs Continue, Closures in Effect

Several state transportation projects will result in lane closures and detours this week on the Island of Maui.

According to department officials, pavement resurfacing continues on the Haleakalā highway between Kula Highway and Pūlehuiki Road daily between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.  The project will result in detours around work zone.

In West Maui, nighttime road repairs will result in the closure of two lanes on the Honoapiʻilani Highway between Kahana Nui Road and Kāʻanapali Parkway nightly between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

Also on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in Māʻalaea, road repairs will result in a lane closure in both directions between Kūihelani Highway and Kapoli Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On North Kīhei Road, there will be a lane closure in both direction between the Honoapiʻilani Highway and the Piʻilani Highway from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for road repairs.

And a northbound lane closure will be in effect on the Kūihelani Highway for nighttime road repairs between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

All projects are weather permitting and are subject to change without further notice.
