Water customers in Pāʻia are advised of a waterline break on the on Hāna Highway near the Pāʻia Fire Station.

Officials from the Maui Department of Water supply say water will be shut off for customers on the Hāna Highway from the Baldwin Avenue intersection to Hoʻokipa Beach Park, for an estimated 6 to 8 hours.

The advisory was issued at 4 p.m., so that means affected customers may be without water until repairs are completed later this evening between 10 p.m. and midnight.

At this time, both lanes are open on Hāna Highway; however, motorists are asked to slow down and use caution near the job site, according to DWS personnel.

Customers may want to flush their waterlines later tonight when water service is restored, to eliminate any sediment that may have occurred during the repairs.
