Mysterious “Zig-Zag Light” Visible Over Maui

A mysterious zig-zag light was visible over Maui on Tuesday, May 20 at around sunset, according to witness reports.

Sightings of where the zig-zagging light appeared to be overhead included Kahului/north shore, West Maui, and Lanai, as well as on Oahu.

Maui Now was contacted by multiple residents seeking answers on what the light could be.

Kahului airport officials, which included a control tower staffer, knew of the incident but had no information regarding what it could be.

Other media outlets contacting various military agencies also yielded no solid answers.
