Maui Crime Log: 13 Vehicle Thefts, 8 Vehicle Break-Ins

Maui police say they responded to 2 burglaries, 13 vehicle thefts, and 8 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between June 1 and 7, 2014. The complete list of locations affected and times in which the incidents occurred are as follows:

2 Maui Burglaries Reported June 1 to 7, 2014:

Lahaina:

• Sunday, June 1, 2014, 4:26 p.m.:  Kamahaʻo Circle.  Residential, unlawful entry.

Waikapū:

• Monday, June 2, 2014, 10:20 a.m.:  Honoapiʻilani Highway at the West Maui Center.  Non-residential, forced entry.

13 Vehicle Thefts on Maui, June 1 to 7, 2014:

Kahului:

• Monday, June 2, 2014, 5:51 p.m.:  Kaimana Street.  Brown 1193 Honda Accord.  RECOVERED.
• Saturday, June 7, 2014, 12:22 a.m.:  Kaʻahumanu Avenue at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Shopping Center, west parking structure, Level 3.  Green 1996 Honda Civic, license LCH756.

Kīhei:

• Sunday, June 1, 2014, 9:20 a.m.:  Piʻilani Highway at the Elleair Maui golf Course.  Blue and gray 2011 Ziat moped, tax # 70707.
• Thursday, June 5, 2014, 6:56 a.m.:  South Kīhei Road at Luana Kai Resort.  Silver 2006 Ford Econoline van, license 113MDC.
• Thursday, June 5, 2014, 6:14 a.m.:  East Līpoa Street at the Kīhei Community Center.  White 2008 Ford F250, license CM2329.
• Thursday, June 5, 2014, 6:14 a.m.:  East Līpoa Street at the Kīhei Community Center.  White 2005 Chevy utility truck, license CM2042.
