Man Pinned Under ATV in Deadly Kanaio Accident

A 54-year-old man is dead after he was found lying beneath a four wheel All Terrain Vehicle in the remote Kanaio area of Maui on Tuesday.
Maui police have since identified the victim as Leroy Quinabo, 54, of Kanaio.
According to police reports, Quinabo was found by a friend at around 12:25 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.

When police arrived on scene, they observed the victim lying unresponsive beneath the ATV. Police say first responders checked for signs of life; however, Quinabo died at the scene.
Police say the case has been classified as a miscellaneous accident and the cause of death is unknown pending autopsy results.
