‘Aloha Stoked’ Shoots First Episode
By Maui Now Staff
A new YouTube channel focused on ‘stoking out’ people on Maui with high-end prizes is doing its first shoot at an event at The Shops at Wailea.
“Aloha Stoked” is filming Wednesday, July 16 from 6-8 p.m., and is hosted by Kalani Prince.
The YouTube show is self-described as being all about “interacting with the public and stoking people out with prizes worth thousands of dollars.”
Hawaiian Music Hall-of-Fame inductee Robert Cazimero will be performing live at The Shops at Wailea during their monthly event, Wailea Le’a, from 6:30-8 p.m by the fountain courtyard.
Alaka’i from KPOA 93.5 FM will also be in attendance as MC.
Prizes on Wednesday include hotel room giveaways at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, dinner at Mala Wailea and Migrant restaurant in Wailea, and gift cards and giveaways good at many of the retailers within The Shops at Wailea.
Production staff say that the public should subscribe to the Aloha Stoked YouTube page and ‘Like’ the Facebook page for a chance to win free prizes and possibly be filmed for the show. Commenting and sharing a recent post will increase the odds of winning, they say.
Free menu samplings from Longhi’s, Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House as well as Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Fustini’s Oils and Vinegars and Lappert’s Ice Cream and Coffee will also be on offer.
The event is free to attend.
