Sports Page Grill and Bar to Host Bash Before Closing Down
By Vanessa Wolf
Once again, the rumors are true.
This time it’s South Kihei’s Sports Page Grill and Bar that will be closing their doors next week, at the end of the month.
The following message – posted to their Facebook page – confirmed the speculation.
“We regret to inform you, that the rumors are true.
The Sports Page Grill and Bar will be closing down its South Kihei location at the end of the month due to unforeseen problems with the landlords. Our lease was not renewed, they have other plans for the building.
We will not go quiet in the nite (sic), and are now in negotiations with another property in the South Maui area. We will keep you all informed on this new location as soon as it is finalized.
We would like to send our sincerest thanks to our Maui family who have made 25 years of business in this location fantastic. Your loyalty has kept us thriving for over 2 and a half decades and we thank you.
We will be running blow out food and drink specials this last week in business so please join us. Bid farewell to our walls and wish us well for the future.
Aloha and love,
Owner, Misha Vosburg”
In honor of their last weekend in the current location, the bar is planning to host bingo tonight at 7 p.m. and is offering 50% off food and drink “until it’s gone” tonight and tomorrow evenings.
As mentioned in their statement, the bar and grill hopes to relocate soon.
