Island Air Resumes Flights on Saturday

Island Air announced today that all flight operations will resume beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014.

The airline says they will continue to monitor tropical storm Julio and its possible impacts.

Island Air services flights between Oʻahu, Maui, Kauaʻi, and Lānaʻi.

Its first operating flights are as follows:

  • Flight 38 from Honolulu to Lāna‘i: departs at 6 a.m.
  • Flight 414 from Honolulu to Maui: departs at 6:15 a.m.
  • Flight 109 from Honolulu to Kaua‘i: departs at 7:20 a.m.

“We’re pleased that Island Air is flying again,” said Island Air CEO Paul Casey in a company press release. “The well-being and safety of our guests and employees is always a priority,” he added.

Guests who are ticketed for travel on Island Air from August 8-12, 2014, will be permitted to change their flight without charge by contacting reservations at 1-800-652-6541, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. HST.

Changes must be made prior to the departure of originally scheduled flights. The company says reservation change fees and differences in fares will be waived. Island Air is offering guests an open ended date to re-book with no re-booking fee.

With Tropical Storm Julio approaching, Island Air advises its guests to visit the airline’s Flight Status page.
