A total of 34 entrepreneurs graduated from the latest Core Four Business Planning course offered by Maui Economic Opportunity, the organization announced.
The 36-hour course provides instruction on how to write a business plan, and gain guidance on how to start, operate and grow a business.
During the course students also receive guidance from local commercial lenders who review plans and offer suggestions for improvement.
Students who successfully completed the course received a Certificate of Achievement from the MEO Business Development Program at a celebration dinner held on August 19.
Organization leaders say the next edition of the six-week series runs from Sept. 9 to Oct. 21, and includes meetings two days a week from 6 to 9 p.m. at the MEO Family Center in Wailuku. Introductory sessions are scheduled on Tuesday, Sept. 2, and Thursday, Sept. 4, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the MEO Family Center; and on Wednesday, Sept. 3, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Maui County Business Resource Center at the Maui Mall.
