Power Restored to 1700 Lānaʻi Electric Customers

Power has since been restored to an estimated 1,700 Lānaʻi customers who lost electricity Wednesday morning, Aug. 27, 2014.

The outage was reported at 8:23 a.m.  A MECO spokesperson says approximately 950 customers had power restored by 8:53 a.m., and remaining customers were brought back online at 9:29 a.m.

The cause of the outage is under investigation.
