Police: Man Allegedly Used Stolen Credit Card at Kīhei Longs

The Maui Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man allegedly caught on surveillance using a stolen credit card at the Longs Drugs Store in Kīhei last month.

Police say the case stems from a car break-in report in which numerous items, including several credit cards were stolen from within an unsecured vehicle parked at 2218 South Kīhei Road.

At a later date, the victim’s credit card company indicated that the stolen card had been used to make purchases at the Longs Drugs Store in Kīhei on two separate occasions: on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014 at 10:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014 at 1 a.m.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the individual shown in the surveillance image is asked to contact Detective Sagun at (808) 875-5406 during business hours (7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), Monday to Friday, or the police department’s non emergency phone number, (808) 244-6400, during non-business hours and on the weekend.
