Finance Factors Kahului Branch Hires Kobayashi

Finance Factors in Kahului has hired Paula Kobayashi as its new business development manager for the branch.

Kobayashi’s primary responsibility will be to assist borrowers with creating custom mortgage solutions to build, refinance and purchase residential real estate in Hawaiʻi.

She will also represent Finance Factors’ line of wholesale portfolio loan products, assisting lenders who want to broker loans that do not fit into their own guidelines.

“We are pleased to welcome Paula to our Finance Factors loan team,” said Steven Teruya, president and chief operating officer of Finance Factors in a company announcement.

“With over 25 years of lending experience in the state of Hawaiʻi and a passion for supporting home-buyers, Paula will be a key asset to our operations in Maui,” said Teruya.

Kobayashi, of Wailuku, Maui, previously served as a loan officer with American Home Loans, the residential lending division of American Savings Bank.

Her experience also includes working for Bank of America, Countrywide Home Loans, CitiFinancial and Associates Financial Services. In the community, Kobayashi is a volunteer with several outreach programs, including the Maui Food Bank.
