Surveillance Released in Alleged Kīhei Credit Card Theft

The Maui Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for questioning in the alleged theft and use of stolen credit cards.

Police say a male suspect unlawfully entered a Kīhei home and stole items from within sometime between 11 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, and 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014.

Among the items stolen were credit cards, which were utilized during a “shopping spree” in the Kīhei area, according to police reports.

The Maui Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the male suspect depicted surveillance footage released today.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 242-6966, Detective Jeffrey Mahoney at 875-5409 or Dispatch at 244-6400.
