Makawao Man Arrested for Alleged Connection to Deadly Crash

Maui Police arrested a Makawao man on a warrant for second degree negligent homicide.
According to police reports, Darrell Orwig, 69, was arrested three weeks ago for alleged connection to a deadly crash earlier this year.

Police say the case stemmed from a motor vehicle collision on March 1 along Baldwin Avenue near Keʻe Road, that claimed the life of William Lyon, 55, of Makawao.
Police say Orwig was released after posting $50,000 bail.
