Road Maintenance and Repairs Planned Across Maui

The state Department of Transportation continues road work at several spots across the island that includes maintenance, utility installations, and repaving of roadways.
In east Maui, a single lane closure is in effect in the Wailua area of the Hāna Highway for road repairs and re-striping. The project extends along the Hāna Highway between Honomanū at Mile 14, and Waikani Falls at Mile 19. Roadwork runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
In Māʻalaea, a lane closure is planned on North Kīhei Road daily for road utility installations between the Honoapiʻilani Highway and the Piʻilani Highway from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. daily, beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
In Kula, there is a single lane closure on Kekaulike Avenue between Haleakalā Crater Road and the Kula Highway during day time hours for road repaving. Road work is planned from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
In Kahului, there is a lane closure on the Mokulele Highway in the southbound direction between the Kuihelani Highway and Kamaʻāina Road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily for repairs.
Also in Central Maui, bridge maintenance and repairs continue on Waiehu Beach Road in Paukūkalo. The road work will result in a lane closure in the westbound direction between Kūkona Place and Ukali Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. During this time, traffic will alternate, utilizing the eastbound lane of travel.
All projects are weather permitting.
