Gilbert & Associates Art Director Amy Mendolia has received a Pele Award in the Advertising Industry Promotion category for the work on the “Holiday Card” collateral piece.
With less than seven months on the job, Mendolia has won one of Hawaiʻi’s top honors in the advertising industry.
The annual competition recognizes the best advertising and design work in the state.
Mendolia flew to Oʻahu to accept her award in person at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Saturday, May 2.
“The credit goes to my team at Gilbert & Associates, especially Shane Fontanilla, who also works in the art department,” Mendolia commented upon winning the award.
The Pele Awards, a District 13 American Advertising Awards Competition (formerly know as “The ADDY Awards”), is a member of the American Advertising Federation, which is a national organization that protects and promotes the well-being of the advertising industry.
Work submitted as an entry must have been conceived and created within the Hawaiian Islands and must have first appeared in the media in the previous calendar year.
