First Hawaiian Bank Giving Away Mariota Role Model Posters

Free Marcus Mariota “Be Your Own Role Model” posters are being distributed at all branch locations of First Hawaiian Bank (limit one per customer while supplies last).

Mariota played college football at the University of Oregon as the Ducks starting quarterback from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, he became the first Oregon player and Hawaiʻi-born athlete to ever win the Heisman Trophy as a junior. 

Mariota was taken second overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The FHB website has information about Mariota, including photos from the recent, “It All Starts with Yes,” TV commercial shoot.

In the commercial, which began airing on Monday, May 18, 2015, Mariota’s father recounts the story of how Marcus made a commitment to himself in fourth grade to pursue his dream of becoming an NFL football quarterback.

“The ‘It all starts with Yes’ campaign is something I believe in,” reads Mariota’s quote on the FHB website. “Once you say ‘yes’ to pursuing your dream, you need to trust the process and battle through any adversity. You also need to believe that things will all work out in the end. Through this partnership with First Hawaiian Bank, I want to help inspire others to dream big and strive for greatness.”
