Fairmont Kea Lani Hosts Chateau Montelena Winemaker’s Dinner

Fairmont Kea Lani has partnered with Napa Valley winery Chateau Montelena for a Winemaker’s Dinner to be held on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. The Winemaker’s Dinner features locally inspired cuisine by Executive Chef Tylun Pang paired with carefully selected wines by Chateau Montelena owner Judy Barrett.

The evening begins with a reception featuring a trio of appetizers paired with 2013 Sauvignon Blanc followed by a four-course wine paired dinner. The wines featured include the 90pt 2012 Chardonnay (Robert Parker) and 92pt 2006 Estate Cabernet (Robert Parker, Steven Tanzer). Dinner guests will also engage in a special talk-story session with winery owner Judy Barrett.

“It is a privilege to showcase Chateau Montelena’s legendary wines and have proprietor Judy Barrett join us for the evening,” said Todd Oldham, Director of Food and Beverage of Fairmont Kea Lani in an event announcement.  “Chateau Montelena is a world-class producer, and their momentous story of how they helped place California at the forefront of the wine world is inspiring for all.”
